Going hunting with his father from a young age is where Jacob’s love for the sport of shooting started. This continued through College with small bore rifle shooting where the team won several National Secondary School titles. In 2021 Jacob attended the Long Range World Championships as the reserve for the U21 NZ team where they won Gold. This experience motivated him to train harder and this year was selected for the NZ U25 team to travel to the Long Range World Championships in South Africa. His Inspire grant will go towards the cost of this trip. His sights are now firmly set on making the 2028 NZ Open Palma rifle team to travel to the World Championship in Bisley, UK.
