Growing up with parents employed by DOC helped Matthew develop a passion for making the planet a better place. His determination to maximise every opportunity has been shaped by the Christchurch EQs with this former Burnside High Head Prefect achieving numerous scholarships, prizes, grants and will shortly publish 4 scientific papers. As a consistent A+ student, Matthew gained admission to complete a PhD at the prestigious Princeton University, USA, which this Grant will support.
